3 Reasons why your business could benefit from a mentor
Rotherham Mentor Programme
- Our mentors are all experienced business people. They may not have direct experience of your business sector but they do have hard-won experience of growing a business and will share with you lessons from their experience in the hope that you can learn them
- They are impartial and have no agenda other than helping you to decide what is best for your business and helping you to develop a plan to implement agreed actions. Many new entrepreneurs find it easier and, more productive, to discuss their business objectively with a mentor than with friends or family members.
- Mentors perform a different role from the coaches that may have helped you start your business. Start up coaches aim to provide you with the basic knowledge you need to help you get your business running. Mentors will help you to grow and develop your business.
The Mentors
Rotherham Mentors are experienced local business people who have volunteered to mentor new and early stage businesses in the private and social sectors.
This
FREE process will generally last for 6 months with monthly meetings of up to two hours at a time agreed between you and your mentor. Mentoring is a non-directive process. Your mentor will encourage you to reach your own conclusions and you must commit to completing any tasks agreed with your mentor in the agreed timescale.
Eligibility
The scheme is open to businesses meeting the following eligibility criteria
• Based in Rotherham
• New Starts or Early stage .....under 3 years
